Then, when the police arrive, they can't tell which person is a shooter or teacher. Listen to your law enforcement. They say pulling out a gun during an active shooter situation is the worst thing to do. Obvious you're jumping on this to protect your payments from NRA
-
Just recently a person who disarmed a gunman was shot by police. When the police arrived they didn't know who the "bad guy" was.

No one has to know how many teachers either. The sign “staff is armed” should be enough to deter most.
-
Now a wannabe shooter can steal a gun from a teacher and start shooting. No need to bring one of their own.

I am a teacher. This is the stupidest idea ever.
-
So sad to know your a teacher.
-
Why is that? Because my bachelor's in special education and master's is in curriculum and instruction? Or because my degrees are are not in criminal justice, so I realize I'm not qualified to be LOE? Please share.
-
The degree of which you speak can not make a good teacher. Only passion and dedication to a learning process can make a good teacher. Nearly anyone can get a BA, BS, masters are for people who can absorbe.... however only truly passionate people of specific subject can teach.
-
Anyone can get a masters? What's your masters in?

As a teacher, shooting a possible student or former student would be a living nightmare! We make squat for money and now this ? we are teachers, parents, therapist, nurses, police, AND now SWAT ...not to mention I now work in a high risk job? I need more money or a different job
-
My brother is a retired Navy Seal. He would be glad to work in his local school where his children and their friends learn.
-
At teachers’ wages? Also, this presumes that schools are now battlefields—I thought Seals and Marines chose the time and place of engagement with the enemy, that they TOOK the fight to the enemy; they didn’t hide and wait.
